Picking a design that will actually work
Decide surface before shape
Printed, fabric, sequin or timber changes everything else. Print carries branding; sequin carries impact; timber carries styling.
Break the rectangle
Arched, layered or shaped edges read as designed. A flat rectangle reads as a banner, whatever is printed on it.
Check clear height, not ceiling height
Sprinklers, trusses and light tracks sit lower than the ceiling. That is your real limit.
Size to the people, not the wall

Matte for anything with a camera
Press flash and stage lighting bounce off gloss and blow out the shot.
Free-standing by default
Most malls and hotels do not allow fixing into the structure. Design for weighted bases from the start.
Finish options
Tension fabric for seamless printed branding and press walls. Shimmer wall for photo and video impact. Timber frame for natural styling. Large format, L-shape and U-shape when one panel run is not enough. Signing backdrop for MOU and MOA ceremonies, and stage backdrop for ballroom stages.

Which backdrop type photographs best?
Sequin walls for pure impact, tension fabric for clean branding, and built structures with depth for themed events. It depends on whether the photo needs to show your logo or show the atmosphere.
Can we combine two finishes in one backdrop?
Yes, and it often looks better than one flat surface — for example a printed centre panel with sequin side panels.
How early should we start the design?
Six to eight weeks for anything custom-fabricated or above 6m wide, so there is time for a site visit, drawings and printing.
