Giant Balloon Advertising Malaysia
Giant balloon advertising Malaysia brands use is the format that works when the audience is not yet on your site — a sphere or shaped balloon carrying your logo, visible from the main road, the car park or the other end of a mall atrium.
Partylicious arranges giant advertising balloons across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor for grand openings, roadshows, property launches and mall campaigns, with the logo printed to your brand artwork.
Formats
Helium sky balloon
Tethered sphere flown above the site. The one format that is visible from outside the property line, which is why property and dealer launches use it.
Ground sphere
Air-filled and weighted at ground level. No helium cost, no flight permissions, and it can sit inside a mall atrium.
Custom shape
Product replica, mascot or bottle shape. Higher tooling cost, but it is the piece people photograph and post.
Cube and column
Four printed faces rather than a curved surface — easier to read text on, better for sponsor walls and multi-brand events.
Sizing and what it costs to run
| Diameter | Reads from | Practical notes |
|---|---|---|
| 2m | Across a car park | Indoor atrium friendly. Modest helium volume |
| 3m | From the main road | Around 14 m³ of gas — roughly one and a half standard cylinders per fill |
| 4m+ | Across a township | Helium volume climbs sharply with diameter. Usually reserved for launches |
| Ground sphere | Site perimeter | Air-filled. No helium, weighted base, blower runs continuously |
Diameter is the number that decides the budget, and not in a straight line. A sphere holds volume by the cube of its radius, so going from 2m to 3m does not add 50% to the gas — it more than triples it. If the sightline works at 2m, take 2m.
Helium or air?
Helium flies. It is the only way to put your logo above the roofline where traffic on the main road sees it. It costs gas on every fill, and a tethered balloon needs anchoring and wind judgement.
Air-filled ground spheres do not fly, but they cost no gas, run all day on a blower, sit safely indoors, and can be much larger for the same money. For a mall atrium or a covered forecourt they are usually the better buy.
The honest rule: if the audience is already on your site, use air. If you need to reach people who have not arrived yet, use helium.
Where it is used
Grand openings and dealer launches, property and show unit launches, roadshows and mall campaigns, sports and community events, and factory or warehouse opening ceremonies. It pairs naturally with an inflatable arch at the entrance and the ribbon cutting ceremony inside.

Planning notes
Artwork early
Logos are printed onto the balloon skin before the event. Vector artwork, and allow production lead time.
Anchoring and wind
A tethered helium balloon is brought down in strong wind. Anchor points and a wind call on the day are part of the plan, not an afterthought.
Venue permission
Malls, property developments and highways-adjacent sites often have their own rules on tethered balloons. Check before booking.
Duration
Helium slowly permeates the skin, so a multi-day campaign needs top-ups. Air-filled spheres do not have this problem.
How much does giant balloon advertising cost in Malaysia?
It depends on diameter, whether it is helium or air-filled, custom shape or standard sphere, and how many days it runs. Send us the site, dates and the sightline you want to cover and we will quote a fixed figure.
Can our logo be printed on it?
Yes. The logo is printed onto the balloon skin. Send vector artwork and confirm your brand colours before production starts.
How long does one helium fill last?
Helium permeates slowly through the skin, so a balloon flown over several days needs topping up. We factor top-ups into a multi-day quotation.
Is a giant balloon safe outdoors?
With proper anchoring and a wind limit, yes. We bring it down if conditions make it unsafe, and weather terms are agreed in the quotation.
Do we need permission from the venue?
Usually yes for tethered balloons, especially in malls, property developments and sites near roads. Tell us the venue and we will advise what is normally required.
